Stewardship: Week 3 - Devotion 1
“Taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the man who takes refuge in Him.” - Psalm 34:8
Decades ago Nike made a big splash with their marketing campaign entitled "Just Do It." The idea was that a lot of people sit around and talk about getting involved in sports or fitness training, but there comes a time to quit talking and JUST DO IT. Now when you see the phrase, you hardly know it. But then, it was a genius marketing campaign.
Now that you are at the end of the Bible study on stewardship you may have come up with some great ideas and even talked about doing some things like going on a mission trip or giving some of your hard-earned money for a needy family. Did your discussion end with nothing but talk?
The psalmist said to taste and see that the Lord is good which means to get out there, step out in faith, and practice Godly stewardship. Think back to a time when you put your plans into action for God.
Think about this:
Did God reveal His goodness to you? Didn't it feel incredible to be serving God in a real-life setting?
Stewardship is about action so JUST DO IT!
