Men of Armor Groups
Men of Armor has at its very roots Ephesians 6:10-17 where Paul encourages us “to be strong in the Lord and His mighty power” by putting on “the full armor of God”. MOA exists to provide a fresh approach to support men by helping men reach their maximum potential as the spiritual leaders of their home, church, and community. MOA involves multiple small groups that meet weekly or bi-monthly searching out scripture, applying truth points uncovered from the scripture, worshiping thru real life testimonies, and engaging in meaningful prayer time. MOA strives to encourage and lead men in reaching their maximum spiritual potential as “Warriors for Christ”.
Maximum Man Bible Study
Maximum Man Bible Study is a weekly men’s Bible Study facilitated by Gary Taylor and incorporates a diverse fellowship of men from across the city and multiple churches. Rooted in God’s Word, this Bible Study will encourage and challenge men in their walk with Christ. This group meets every Thursday morning at 7:00 at Englewood in the Jett Fellowship Center and would love to have you join them.
Wild Game Supper
The Wild Game Supper is a community wide annual event that has grown to draw hundreds men from Jackson and all the surrounding West Tennessee counties with the primary mission of evangelizing the West Tennessee men for Christ by providing a delicious wild game meal with all the trimmings topped off with a dynamic gospel presentation led by a keynote outdoorsman.
Led by Tony Taylor and a host of volunteers, the Spring event has drawn thousands of men and is a highlight of the Men’s ministry of Englewood. This ministry has seen hundreds men coming to a first time commitment to Christ as well as men making a recommitment to Christ to serve their families, churches, and communities for Christ. Details will be made available for the next Wild Game Supper event.
