Senior Pastor Candidate

Meet Our Senior Pastor Candidate

After much prayer, fasting, discussion, and discernment, Englewood’s Senior Pastor Search Committee has unanimously been led by God to call Dr. Adam Dooley as our next Senior Pastor. Adam, his lovely wife, Heather, and their five children (Carson, Brady, Jacob, Mallory, and Addison) currently live in Sunnyvale, Texas, where Adam is Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church.

Dr. Dooley has served as a Senior Pastor for 20 years in Texas; Mobile, Alabama; Chattanooga, TN; Richmond, KY; and Mt. Vernon, KY.

Adam completed the Ph.D and Master of Divinity degrees at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and bachelor’s degree at Clear Creek Baptist Bible College.

He has authored two books; held various offices in three state Baptist conventions and the Southern Baptist Convention; participated in mission trips to India, Brazil, Argentina, Honduras, and Turkey; and serves as adjunct professor at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary,

On Sunday, July 14, Dr. Dooley will preach at Englewood in view of a call in all services (via video at our North and East campuses). The congregation will vote at the conclusion of each service. Please join us in praising God for his kind direction, unyielding love, and steadfast grace toward Englewood. Please also pray for Dr. Dooley’s church in this time of transition.
